World AIDS Day has been observed every year on December 1 since 1988. This worldwide effort draws people together in solidarity to pay tribute to the millions of people living with HIV/AIDS, raise awareness of the global impact of HIV/AIDS, and celebrate victories that are allowing more people to live longer and healthier lives.
About 1.2 million people are living with HIV in the U.S. with about one in five of those that are unaware of their infections. With early diagnosis, individuals can be placed in treatment and care resulting in better health outcomes and prevent further spread of the disease.
Care Resource has demonstrated excellence in the field of HIV/AIDS as it works to fulfill its mission and have a positive impact on Broward and Miami-Dade communities. Our work in the community has earned us the confidence of our clients and funding sources at local, state and federal levels. We provide comprehensive services like HIV Testing, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) testing as well as risk reduction programs and HIV and STDs education.
