The Women's
Outreach Program is an HIV prevention program that works with
monolingual Hispanic women, their partners and other family members in
such neighborhoods as Hialeah, Little Havana, West Kendall and
Homestead.
The
program conducts street outreach, and performs confidential
counseling and HIV testing to
Hispanic women. The ultimate goal of this project is to make it easy
for Hispanic women and their loved ones to get HIV care and treatment
Another component of this project is to train Hispanic women as peer
educators who can then go on to conduct workshops addressing HIV
prevention and other HIV related issues for their family, friends and
others.

- Safer Sex
- Family Planning/Parenting Skills
- Treatment Education
- Substance Abuse Harm Reduction
- Importance of Knowing HIV Status
- Self Esteem
- Relationships
