Women's Outreach
The Women's Outreach Program is an HIV prevention program that works with monolingual Hispanic women, their partners and other family members in such neighborhoods as Hialeah, Little Havana, West Kendall and Homestead.

The program conducts street outreach, and performs confidential counseling and HIV testing to Hispanic women. The ultimate goal of this project is to make it easy for Hispanic women and their loved ones to get HIV care and treatment

Another component of this project is to train Hispanic women as peer educators who can then go on to conduct workshops addressing HIV prevention and other HIV related issues for their family, friends and others.

Some of the topics presented include:
  • HIV/AIDS overview
  • Risk Reduction Skills Building
  • Safer Sex
  • Family Planning/Parenting Skills
  • Treatment Education
  • Substance Abuse Harm Reduction
  • Importance of Knowing HIV Status
  • Self Esteem
  • Relationships
Please check our calendar for workshop dates and times.  For more information call Tania Lopez at 305 576 1234 or email us at wo@careresource.org
