Share the Joy of the Season

The Enchanted Place neighborhood association continues to show their holiday spirit with Holiday Lights benefiting Care Resource.

From December 12th – December 30th, one can experience the magic of the holidays by visiting Holiday Lights at Enchanted Place.  Drive by the beautifully decorated homes and see the breathtaking light displays created by this spirited neighborhood.

Share the joy of the season while helping your community!  Volunteers will collect donations, hand out candy and more.

The event is free and located at NE 137th Terrace in Miami.  The neighborhood will be aglow with holiday cheer from December 9th thru December 31st from 6-11:30 pm nightly.  To get to Holiday Lights from I-95, exit on 135th Street East to 16th Avenue North then make the 1st right.  Remember to turn off your lights for maximum viewing.

According to Russell Corbett, Care Resource Board Chair, “We’re in our 25th year.  I love Christmas and I am just an overgrown kid when it comes to decorations and preparations. The lights display and the fact that almost everyone participates are two of the reasons we moved onto Enchanted Place. The first year we lived here, 1992, one of the neighbors suggested at our home owners meeting that we ask a charity if they wanted to come and accept donations and another neighbor who knew I was on the Board of then Health Crisis Network suggested we ask that agency as there was a Board member living on the street. We were all very surprised at how well it went and how much this event has raised for the agency in the years since. There’s a certain amount of friendly competition between some of us… to do something different each year, to add something new, to out-do each other. A great deal of time is spent hanging out in each others driveways & visiting during the month. It’s a real community thing.”
