Care Resource is honored to again participate in Unity Coalition|Coalición Unida’s 2nd annual TRANSART presented by the BETSY South Beach, in partnership with the Miami Foundation, Trans Miami, LGBT Visitors Center, Miami Beach Community Church, ARTS at St. Johns, Survivors Pathway, Stonewall Museum & Archives, PRIDE Center, SunServe, My Gay Suites & CP Productions.

This series showcases the Talent, Vision and Possibilities within the transgender Community and brings together a collection of talents, individuals and artistic genres to create awareness, nurture aspiring artists and enlighten the general population about the many layers of this community.

On Saturday, June 25th at 1pm, Care Resource’s Dr. Sheryl Zayas is speaking about Transgender Healthcare options at “THIRTEEN” restaurant located on 2390 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors, FL.

Dr. Sheryl Zayas attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University and holds a medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Practice at the Lake Eric College of Osteopathic Medicine location in Miami, Florida where she served as Chief Resident. She is a Board Certified Family Physician. Dr. Zayas speaks English and basic French and Spanish. She also received the Trans Equality Award presented by The Pride Center in Fort Lauderdale in 2014.

According to Dr. Zayas, “Finding a knowledgeable, ‘trans-positive’ service provider… one who understands and supports the identity of transgender individuals-is extremely important in ensuring a transgender person receives proper care. Medical care at Care Resource focuses on the body parts a person has, whether those are congruent with the gender identity or not. Make Care Resource your ‘Trans-Positive” medical home for care TODAY!”
