Funds to provide patients access to new technology and health education programs
Miami, FL (January 6, 2014) – Care Resource, a nonprofit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center serving residents in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, recently received a $45,000 grant from Health Foundation of South Florida for Project LEARN.
According to Care Resource CEO Rick Siclari “This project increases our medical patients’ access to technology which will streamline their appointment scheduling and prescription refill requests. In addition, it provides community health education workshops which will empower clients to manage their own chronic health conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension.”
Care Resource provides comprehensive primary medical and preventive care, including health, oral and mental health/substance abuse services to all individuals in living in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, through three convenient office locations.
Care Resource is excited to be partnering with Health Foundation of South Florida on this important initiative which will contribute toward improving the health status of our South Florida community. With this recent grant, Health Foundation has awarded more than $403,098 to Care Resource to support various programs and services.

ABOUT CARE RESOURCE: Care Resource is a nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides comprehensive primary medical and preventive care, including health, oral and mental health/substance abuse services to all individuals in our community. Through education, prevention, research, care, treatment and support services, Care Resource strives to improve the health and overall quality of life for South Florida’s diverse communities and has demonstrated excellence in the multicultural field of HIV/AIDS. Services are provided regardless of ability to pay and charges for services on a community board approved sliding-fee scale based on patients’ family income and size.
