Partners in Faith (PIF) is an HIV prevention program within Care Resource that reaches out to the faith based community in the African-American/Black communities.

Created in 1998, PIF has been working and helping to implement AIDS ministries in various churches throughout the African-American community.

The HIV/AIDS virus affects a lot of people in the African-American community. There may not be a person whithin this community that doesnt know a family member, friend or neighbor living with HIV. The place to keep engaging people  in the church is through open dialogue and the provision of accurate information about the disease.

PIF plays its role by working with the churches, their leaders, members and the general community. Our peer  educators conduct street outreach by providing accurate information, condoms, referrals and answering whatever questions someone may have. We also provide confidential HIV counseling and testing to those willing to know their HIV status. If you test positive, we can refer you to  Care Resource or any agency of your choice.
