The HIV
Counseling and
Testing Program provides confidential HIV
counseling and testing free of charge. The program identifies
individuals at high risk for Substance abuse and HIV infection.
Services are offered at various offices, as well as through mobile
units with locations throughout Miami-Dade County.
Counselors are also available to answer any questions about HIV/AIDS,
STD's and Risk Reduction Counseling.
EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES Goals:
- Provide HIV antibody testing
combined with pre/post-test counseling
- Focus program activities to reduce
or eliminate behaviors that risk
transmitting HIV
- Bring people living with HIV into
the local continuum of care
- Identify individuals at high risk
for substance abuse and referred
them for treatment
