KOMMONA PADDLE RACE RESULTS ARE IN!

THANK YOU KEEP PADDLIN' AND RACE PARTICIPANTS

First and foremost, Keep Paddlin’ and Care Resource wish to thank everyone who came out for 4th Annual Kommona Paddle Race!

Each and every one of you truly represented what paddling is all about. This year mother nature gave participants of the race very challenging weather conditions with SSE 10-15mph winds, with even greater gusts and thunderstorms to round out the morning.

Despite all the weather obstacles that came their way and of the 76 registered participants, 58 paddlers hit the water with smiles on Saturday morning at 9am. Keep Paddlin and Care Resource want to commend those who came out and braved it all.

Kommona Paddle is about sportsmanship, inspiration, hope, unity and always believing that anything is possible, especially when we meet obstacles head on - one stroke at a time. This year's 4th Annual Kommona Paddle race truly demonstrated each of these aspects as it brought together elite competitors and first time paddlers alike. Stand-Up and Prone Paddlers, Kayaks and Surf skis all paddled side by side, working hard in the waves and cross chop.

Thank you for bringing all your spirit and heart, making this event ever stronger each year! With each race, we gain more knowledge, learning and moving toward the best event possible with every paddler who joins our soulful community of water-men and water-women. Keep spreading the good word and keep doing small things with great love! Keep Paddlin’.

TONIGHT AT THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER

Join Care Resource as we present "Elliot Loves" tonight at the Miami Beach Convention Center at 8:30pm as part of the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival program.

Elliot Loves is a story of Dominican-American Elliot Ayende at two stages of his life: as a 9-year-old who is side-kick and confidant to his barely-keeping-it-together single mom; and as a 21-year-old looking for love in New York City. A comedy-drama that shows you can survive anything life throws at you -  just "keep it cute, papi."

Director Terracino will be in attendance as will actors Monte Bezell, Israel Gutierrez, Quentin Davis Araujo, Elena Goode and Erin Fogel. Filmmaker and actors will hold an Q&A session immediatley after the film and will also attend Friday Spotlight party at Queen.
