OUR GOAL:

Goals of the DOCTALC program at Care Resource:

Reduce co-infections with other sexually transmitted diseases as well as re-infections with more virulent forms of HIV among patients currently in HIV medical care
Reduce new HIV infections among discordant sex partners

One way we will accomplish this is through improved communication about safer sex and disclosure between HIV providers and patients. Talking about safer sex has become a standard procedure in the daily medical care in our clinics.

The aim is to keep all persons, their partners and the community in the best possible health. As a team, we work together to improve the health of people living with HIV/AIDS.
