MENTAL HEALTH
AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING
Sometimes
it is called mental health therapy or clinical social work.
It is a collaborative process between a therapist, who is well
informed, appropriately educated and sensitive, and a client who is
open to new ideas and in need of behavior change. Formats include:
- Group counseling for
peer support
and recovery from additions
- Family or couples counseling for
help with inter-personal and relationship difficulty
- Individual psychotherapy for
private counseling sessions
- Specialized substance abuse
counseling
Psychotherapy
can help you if change seems like it is too much to
handle or if things like irritability, feelings of worthlessness or
addictions get in the way. You tell us what the problem is. We can help.
OUR
THRAPISTS
Like you, each therapist has their own strengths and personal style,
ranging from client centered supportive psychotherapy for addictions,
cognitive behavioral counseling for depression and assisted relaxation
training and guided imagery for pain management or social anxiety.
We will not judge you, try to change you or tell you that you are
wrong. We will listen to you, learn who you are from you, and help you
make the changes you want to make in your behavior.
You have access to mental heath counselors; clinicians licensed to
practice psychotherapy and certified addiction professionals. it is up
to you to decide what you need and how best to reach your personal goals
