Counseling

MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING

Sometimes it is called mental health therapy or clinical social work. It is a collaborative process between a therapist, who is well informed, appropriately educated and sensitive, and a client who is open to new ideas and in need of behavior change. Formats include:
  • Group counseling for peer support and recovery from additions
  • Family or couples counseling for help with inter-personal and relationship difficulty
  • Individual psychotherapy for private counseling sessions
  • Specialized substance abuse counseling
Psychotherapy can help you if change seems like it is too much to handle or if things like irritability, feelings of worthlessness or addictions get in the way. You tell us what the problem is. We can help.

OUR THRAPISTS

Like you, each therapist has their own strengths and personal style, ranging from client centered supportive psychotherapy for addictions, cognitive behavioral counseling for depression and assisted relaxation training and guided imagery for pain management or social anxiety.

We will not judge you, try to change you or tell you that you are wrong. We will listen to you, learn who you are from you, and help you make the changes you want to make in your behavior.

You have access to mental heath counselors; clinicians licensed to practice psychotherapy and certified addiction professionals. it is up to you to decide what you need and how best to reach your personal goals
