On Thursday, June 18th – from 7:00pm – 10:00pm at Concrete Beach Brewery located on 325 NW 24th Street, $1 of every pint sold went right into the programs and services of Care Resource. One could drink a beer responsibly for a good cause, hear about Care Resource’s programs and services and support local business.
This collaboration is a unique opportunity to deliver the message of HIV/AIDS testing and prevention and care to a demographic that is most in need of hearing it – as many young people may not understand the difficulties they will face if they acquire HIV infection and the challenge of HIV treatment. As of January 31, 2014 Miami-Dade County ranks #1 in the state of Florida for number of new HIV cases and AIDS cases. There are 27,035 people living with HIV/AIDS in Miami-Dade County.
These events at the Concrete Brewer will occur on a monthly basis.

For over 30 years, Care Resource has been on the forefront of HIV/AIDS research, prevention, care and treatment services to individuals in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. We took our model of excellence and expanded it to include not only those with HIV, but all of South Florida’s diverse LGBT and less privileged communities. Today, we are a full-fledged federally qualified community health center (FQHC) – a medical home for all those in need.
